Meet Micah Martin, the artist behind BibleSketches

Every print on this site begins as a hand-drawn sketch by Micah Martin, the American artist and founder of BibleSketches. Micah grew up drawing on every school paper placed in his hands, and studying architecture at Virginia Tech sharpened that instinct into a distinctive, detailed sketching style. BibleSketches itself began years ago at a Starbucks in Blacksburg, Virginia, where Micah started combining his two great loves of drawing and Scripture by sketching moments and stories from the Bible.

What started as a side hobby grew into something much bigger. Together with his wife Hannah, who runs the social media and shop side of BibleSketches, Micah's artwork is now trusted by over 90,000 Christian homes worldwide, with a community of hundreds of thousands following his work on Instagram.

Micah's style

Micah's sketches are instantly recognisable: hand-drawn line work, often minimalist, always anchored to a specific Bible passage. Some pieces hide playful details, like the twelve disciples tucked into the crowd in Jesus Feeds the 5000, while others distil a story down to a single, striking image. Every product page references the Scripture that inspired it, because the aim behind all of it is simple: artwork that glorifies God and points people back to the beauty of His Word.
